Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

Redline Permit runs an AI-assisted plan check portal that cities, applicants and plan reviewers use at redlinepermit.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who helps us run the service. Redline Permit is an independent company; city pages on this site are pilot portals, not official city websites.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, mobile phone number, company or firm, title, department, license number if you give one, and the type of account you choose (applicant, plan reviewer or portal admin).
  • Sign-in information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Project records: the information you enter about a project (address, scope, contacts), the correction comments and replies, status history and review rounds.
  • Sheet images: small thumbnails of plan sheets and clips of the areas each correction refers to, plus text read from the drawings. We do not keep the full plan set PDF; it stays in your own Google Drive or Dropbox or on your device.
  • Pilot inquiries: what you send through the pilot request form.

How we use it

  • To run the portal: create your account, show the right projects to the right people, and keep the review record.
  • To prepare AI draft corrections that a city reviewer approves, edits or rejects. Nothing the AI drafts reaches an applicant without a reviewer's approval.
  • To send sign-in codes and service emails about your projects.
  • To answer pilot requests and support questions.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your information

Applicants see their own projects. Plan reviewers and portal admins of the city where a project is filed see that city's projects. Portal admins see the list of accounts for their city. Each city's records are kept separate from other cities.

Service providers

  • Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Google provides sign-in with Google and sends our emails.
  • Anthropic provides the AI model that reads sheet images and text to draft corrections. Data sent through Anthropic's commercial API is not used to train its models.
  • GitHub hosts the website pages.

How long we keep it

We keep project records for as long as the city's pilot or contract runs and as needed to meet the city's record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your account; project records a city must keep may be retained for that city.

Your choices

You can update your account details in the portal at any time. To see, correct or delete your information, email hello@redlinepermit.com. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information; we honor those requests through the same address.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited by account type and city. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away at hello@redlinepermit.com if you think your account has been misused.

Changes

We will post any changes here with a new effective date.
