Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Redline Permit portal at redlinepermit.com. By creating an account or using the portal, you agree to them.

The service

Redline Permit helps cities review building plans. It reads plan sets you provide and drafts correction comments for a city plan reviewer, who decides what is sent. City pages on this site are pilot portals operated by Redline Permit; they are not official city websites, and they do not replace a city's own permit rules, forms, fees or decisions.

AI drafts are not approvals

AI-drafted comments may be incomplete or wrong. Only the city's reviewers and officials can approve plans or issue permits. A plan that passes the portal's checks may still receive corrections from the city, and the portal is not a substitute for a licensed design professional's judgment.

Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in to yourself.
  • Plan reviewer and admin accounts are for authorized city staff and people the city or Redline Permit invites.
  • Upload only plans and documents you have the right to share.
  • Do not misuse the portal: no attempts to access other people's records, disrupt the service, or submit unlawful content.

Your content

You keep ownership of the plans and information you submit. You allow Redline Permit to process them to run the service for you and for the city reviewing them, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Pilot and availability

The portal is offered as a pilot. Features may change, and we may suspend or end access. We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Disclaimers and limits

The portal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Redline Permit is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including project delays, arising from use of the portal, to the extent the law allows.

Changes

We may update these terms and will post changes here with a new effective date.
